Begin by obtaining Wisp Tea. You can purchase it at Zarya Cosmodrome, or unlock it for free by completing the Twins Easter egg at Vandorn Farm. Once Wisp Tea is active, travel to the Tailor Shop in eastern Ashwood, located just past Vulture Aid. Inside the shop is a mirror that only reacts while Wisp Tea is active. Stand close to it and the mirror will shatter.

Afterward, acquire the Necrofluid Gauntlet. Return to the shattered mirror and shoot it using the gauntlet. Doing so causes the Powder of the Forgotten to drop onto the floor.

Serum Part 2 – Widow Lantern

Head to Blackwater Lake and enter the cabin. Go downstairs into the kitchen area and search the cabinet beneath the sink on the south wall. Inside, you'll find a Jar of Spores.

Take the spores to Vandorn Farm, just outside the front gate. There you'll see a dead horse overtaken by fungal growth. Interact with it to plant the spores. After three full rounds, the spores will fully grow, allowing you to collect the Widow Lantern.

Serum Part 3 – Mysterious Limb

The Mysterious Limb is tied to Zursa, the elite zombie bear that starts spawning at Round 16.

To make her drop the item, Zursa must be killed using Ol' Tessie's Abomination Head Beam Attack. First, unlock the Abomination Head upgrade by killing the Cook zombie at Reba Diner (Exit 115), collecting the Freezer Key, and completing the Ol' Tessie upgrade process in Ashwood.

Once Zursa appears, weaken her using standard weapons. When her health is low, finish her with the Beam Attack. She will explode and drop the Mysterious Limb.

Serum Part 4 – Ravager Eyes

Ravagers are quick, four-legged enemies that can appear randomly or during Max Ammo rounds.

When one spawns, lead it toward a Saw Blade trap, such as the trap positioned outside the Barn at Vandorn Farm. Activate the trap for 2,000 Essence and allow it to kill the Ravager. Upon death, it will automatically drop the Ravager Eyes.

Serum Part 5 – Hoard Husk Chunks

This step also requires the Abomination Head upgrade for Ol' Tessie.

Drive Ol' Tessie along the connected roadways and watch for purple-glowing plants, which spawn at random locations. When you find one, destroy it using the Beam Attack. The plant will drop the Hoard Husk Chunks.

Be careful when exiting Ol' Tessie, as zombie density is high and enemies become extremely aggressive in these areas.

Serum Part 6 – Human Bones

Travel to the Barn at Vandorn Farm. You'll need both a Combat Axe and a Molotov, which can be obtained at no cost. The Combat Axe is located in the Reba Diner kitchen, while Molotovs can either be crafted in the Barn or found near Ol' Tessie's garage.

Inside the Barn, locate the hanging corpse in the center of the room. Throw the Combat Axe at the right foot of the corpse to knock it down. Then throw a Molotov onto the fallen foot. After the flames burn out, you'll be able to collect the Human Bones.

Completing the Serum Puzzle in Ashes of the Damned

Once all six Serum items are collected, head to Yuri's Lab, found southwest of Zarya Cosmodrome. Inside the lab are six bowls containing your collected materials and a chemistry station in the center.

Begin the puzzle by interacting with the Powder of the Forgotten, which is placed in the fifth bowl. This fills the room with smoke. When the smoke clears, three Pigpen cipher symbols will appear on the chalkboard. These symbols indicate the exact order in which three bowls must be activated, starting from the top symbol and moving downward.

Activate the correct bowls in the displayed sequence. If done correctly, the vials will emit red smoke, signaling success. Interact with the central vial to sacrifice blood and trigger the lockdown phase.

During the lockdown, health regeneration is disabled. The only way to recover health is by using the Necrofluid Gauntlet's siphon mechanic—fire the weapon and reload to drain life from nearby zombies.

Survive the lockdown to fully complete the Serum puzzle.
